The Planning Law Practice, based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, provides specialist advice and support to clients with regard to planning applications, public inquiries and planning appeals.

Head of the firm, Peter Brady, acts for a variety of landowners, developers and investors spread across the country and explained that hard copy documentation has to be retained for every aspect of the firm’s administration. This includes correspondence, e-mails, draft agreements, documents, plans and even telephone and meeting notes. These files must be retained for up to twenty years and historical documents frequently need to be retrieved for reference. Just one planning application alone can generate as many as six boxes of documents.
